Summon eldritch god

When all are gathered in the same room, and the ancient one's name is spoken. A god shall return to the earth.

Contain parts of the god's mind and body

Each one contains a part of the god's intent. This will manifest in its environment in different ways.

Corrupt their environment and people around them

When people or objects spend a lot of time around the statues they are warped in ways reflecting the part of the ancient god's intent they house.

Quests

A black market of magic

Primary Contact: The owner of an antique shop.

A gang has gotten their hands on one of the statues. Although they initially intended to sell it. After a deal was struck, a member of the gang ran away with the statue. Now a tangle of alliances of the magical underworld has started boiling over into the light.

Counter Espionage

Primary Contact: A Private Investigator

The shipment that got lost was originally intended for a group of German spies. Only one of the statues arrived. The spies started killing each other over the statue, leading to a police investigation.

The corrupt police department has been payed off by whoever sent these spies to ignore the incident. Now those same people are trying to stop the party and their Private Investigator friend from uncovering the truth.

Factory

Primary Contact: The owner of the factory or a janitor.

One of the statues was planted in the Valens automotive factory. Where it started affecting workers and machinery alike.

A University

Primary Contact: A student

One statue has found its way into the office of an occult history researcher who has gone slightly off the rails researching the object. Rumors of disappearances spread among the students, and one of the hallways keeps getting longer.

A castle

Primary Contact: The mayor of a small local town.

The cultists who arranged the shipment have recovered one of the statues. They are holed up in a historic castle. They have also started killing animals and people in the surrounding area with unknown motivations.
