While he was out scouting, a [[du Toit Assassin]] murdered his partner, as well as the client. This is the reason that the PI is now tracking this case without help or a client.

He would like to get revenge on both the assassin and the assassin's employers. He has tracked down the assassin to [[The City]]'s [[Grand Hotel]]. And has asked the players to sneak in and find out more about the assassin's goals.
